1 Corinthians 6:12-13 a. Someone may say,"I'm allowed to do anything, but not everything is helpful. I'm allowed to do anything, but I won't allow anything to gain control over my life. Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food, but God will put an end to both of them. NLT

 

Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. 

v. 10  Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.

 

Psalm 34: 8-10 Taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the man who goes to Him for safety. You people of God,  have respect for the Lord. Those who respect Him have everything they need. The lions may grow weak and hungry. But those who look to the LORD have every good thing they need.

 

Philippians 4:11 - 13  I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

 

1 Tim 6:7-8 - For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing we will be content with that, v.9 People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful  desires that  plunges men into ruin and destruction. v.10 for the love of money is a root of all  kinds of evil. Some  people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.  

 

Hebrews 13:5 - Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will  I leave you; never will  I forsake you v.6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my help; I will not be afraid.

 

Psalm 37: 3-4 Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will  live in the land and enjoy its food. Find your delight in the Lord, Then He will give you everything your heart really wants.

 

1 Peter 2:2.- Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk,so that by it you may grow up  in your salvation, v.3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

 

Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

 

John 10:10 - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

 

Ephesians 2:1-3 You used to live as sinners when you followed the ways of this world. You served  the  one  who rules over the spiritual forces of evil. He is the spirit who is now at work in those who don't obey God.

 

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters at the same time.Hewill hate one of them and love the other. Or he will be faithful to one and dislike the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

 

James 1:8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

 

2 Corinthians 4:18  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

 

Hebrews 12:2 - Let us fix out eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

 

Acts 4:12 - Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

v.13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled,ordinary men,they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

 

Matthew 6:32 b -33  And your heavenly Father knows what you need. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

 

Phil 2:4 - 5  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus....v 7 taking the very nature of a servant.

 

Matthew 16:24 - Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.. for whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me will  find it.  v.26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

 

Heb 12:11 - No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

 

Titus 2:11-14 - For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men .It teaches us to say "NO" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope---the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

 

Phil 2:14 - Do everything without complaining or arguing, 

 

Isaiah 1:18-20 - Come, Let us talk some more about this matter, says the LORD. Even though your sins are bright red, they willbe as white as snow. Even though they are deep red, thy will be white life wool. But you have to be willing to change and obey Me. If you are , you will eat the best food that grows on the land.

 

Proverbs 4:10-13 - My son, listen, Accept what I say. Then you will live for many years. I guide you in the way of wisdom. I lead you along straight paths. When you walk nothing will slow you down. When you run, you won't trip and fall. Hold on to My teaching. Don't let it go. Guard it well. It is your life.

 

Ephesians 1:11  We were also chosen to belong to Him. God decided to choose us long ago in keeping with His plan. He works out everything to fit His plan and purpose.

 

Romans 8:28  and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

 

Ecclesiastes 3: 11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. 13 and also that every man should eat and drink and see and enjoy the good of all his labor---it is the gift of God.
