Jesus gives better gifts like...
- Salvation (Hebrews 6:9; Psalm 84:5-6,10)
- Justice (Hebrews 6:10; Psalm 37:23-25; Psalm 56:8; Matthew 10:42; Jeremiah 16:17-18; Revelation 18:5-6)
- Endurance (Hebrews 6:11-12; Revelation 2:2-3; 2 Timothy 2:12)
All Scripture from NLT
9Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don't believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation. 10For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. 11Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. 12Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith and endurance.
5What joy for those whose strength comes from the LORD, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. 6When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. 10A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else!
23The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. 24Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. 25Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.
8You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
42And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded."
17I am watching them closely, and I see every sin. They cannot hope to hide from me. 18 I will double their punishment for all their sins, because they have defiled my land with lifeless images of their detestable gods and have filled my territory with their evil deeds.
5For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds. 6Do to her as she has done to others. Double her penalty for all her evil deeds.
2I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance...3You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.
2 Timothy 2:12
12If we endure hardship, we will reign with him.
