  1. Our Father loves (John 14:8; Mark 14:36; Galatians 4:6; Romans 8:15)
  2. Our Father sent the Son (John 14:9-10; EGW 1854,1892; Hosea 11:8-9; John 3:16; Mark 1:11)
  3. If you know Jesus, you know the Father (John 14:11; John 6:44)

John 14:
8 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied." 9 Jesus replied, "Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don't know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? 10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. 11 Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do.

Mark 14:36
36 'Abba, Father,' he cried out, 'everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.'

Galatians 4:6 (Scripture Reading)

6 And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, 'Abba, Father.'

Romans 8:15
15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him 'Abba, Father.'

Ellen White 1854 (Early Writings pp.127,151)

Think ye that the Father yielded up His dearly beloved Son without a struggle? No, no. It was even a struggle with the God of heaven, whether to let guilty man perish, or to give His beloved Son to die for him.

Ellen White 1892 (Steps to Christ p.14)

Jesus said, 'Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again.' John 10:17. That is, 'My Father has so loved you that He even loves Me more for giving My life to redeem you.'

Ellen White 1898 (The Desire of Ages p.641)

Love to man is the earthward manifestation of the love of God.

Ellen White 1911 (The Great Controversy p.678)
And the years of eternity, as they roll, will bring richer and still more glorious revelations of God and of Christ. As knowledge is progressive, so will love, reverence, and happiness increase. The more men learn of God, the greater will be their admiration of His character.

Hosea 11:8-9
8 "Oh, how can I give you up, Israel? How can I let you go? My heart is torn within me, and my compassion overflows. 9 No, I will not unleash my fierce anger. I will not completely destroy Israel, for I am God and not a mere mortal. I am the Holy One living among you.

John 3:16
16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Mark 1:11
11 And a voice from heaven said, 'You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.'

John 6:44
44 For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up.
