Theological Hmm: Until the principles of gospel, unity, love, and self-sacrifice are made manifest among us, especially in our own families, we will be powerless to share this message with others. All the eloquent sermons, all the logic and biblical presentations, aren’t enough: The world needs to see manifest in our lives, especially in our family lives, the repentance, the turned hearts, the love, and the commitment we preach about. - Claudio and Pamela Consuegra

Coming soon:

  • POSTPONED: IN GOD'S WORD WE TRUST Thank you for previously expressing interest in helping Toledo First Church host "In God's Word We Trust" JUL 6 & 7 from 9am - 7pm Unfortunately, we were unable to secure enough readers to make this outreach possible. We will re-schedule for winter 2020
  • THE CHURCH HAS LEFT THE BUILDING JUN 29 Toledo First is open for Sabbath School and as a car pool location but there will be no organized worship service this week @ 11am. Why? Because Luke 6:9 says Sabbath is also a day for doing good! So in 2019, we are trying to do that every month with a fifth Sabbath in it. Sign up sheets in the foyer at church have service locations and remaining availability. Habitat for Humanity is an option. As is an animal shelter. Food bank. Serving a meal at Mosaic Ministries. Cards for Soldiers. Visitation. I’m gonna do the PB&J giveaway organized by Dr. Sunita Bonde and their Six Week Group (see post below for more info on that) so join one of those or create your own! Don't forget to take pics (with permission) and nominate a group leader to give a 30 second praise during announcements SAT JUL 6
  • PB&J Meet at 316 Adams Street (first floor) in downtown Toledo. You'll enter the building through the red and clear entrance on Adams Street nearest Summit Street (by the stairs leading up to the plaza). There is free street parking on Adams and St Clair. You're also welcome to park at the United Way surface lot on Jackson and walk over. This is a rain or shine mission so if it rains, be prepared with appropriate clothes/shoes. You're welcome to join us there and bring PB&J supplies such as creamy peanut butter, jelly, bread, cookies, chips, gloves, bottled water, etc. but there's no expectation or requirement that you bring anything other than yourselves to volunteer

We extend a special welcome to those who are crying newborns, skinny as a rail, or could afford to lose a few pounds. We welcome you if you sing like Andrea Bocelli or can’t carry a note in a bucket. We welcome service dogs and their handlers. We welcome Muslims, Jews, politicians, and sinners like us. We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome soccer moms, NASCAR dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk- food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems, or you’re down in the dumps, or you don’t like “organized religion;” we’ve been there too. If you blew all your offering money at the casino, you’re welcome here. We offer a special welcome to those who think the earth is flat, who work hard, don’t work, can’t spell, or come because grandma is in town and wanted to go to church. We welcome those who are inked, pierced, or both. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid, or got lost in traffic and wound up here by mistake. We welcome tourists, seekers, doubters, bleeding hearts...and you
  • OUR STORY Our church website at the very bottom of the home page has an excellent downloadable resource featuring our story and explanation of our unique Christian Adventist emphasis. It's called the Toledo First Assimilation Manual and if you've never read it, I would encourage you to do so. And don't forget, God loves you like crazy. And so do we (2 Corinthians 5:13-14 NLT)

Love ye,
